We just got back from tour, YAY it was great. I will post some hot pics soon. maybe some video as well. I tried documenting the most fun parts of the journey.
We want to Thank the following:
1.) The Northside Fest for giving us free Roos (sneakers, get with the fucking times)
2.) Greg's cat (from the Updog)
3.) Subway for being at virtually every exit so we could eat your veggie sandwiches.
4.) Casual Curious' set at No Kids Night. Wow.
5.) The Constellations for getting everyone drunk and horny.
6.) This girl named Tina at the Pour House for being the coolest chick ever.
7.) My Tom Tom for getting us places (except it freaked out in Baltimore at 2am and we were lost... not good)
8.) My sister-in-law's parents for letting us crash in Raleigh.
9.) My uncle for having the best 10 dogs EVER!!!
10.) And last but not least - everyone who bought a CD and wished us well on our journey down the coast.
With Love,
Alyse

Join the Cycle

A good friend of ours, Casey DePasquale, created "Join the Cycle" - a mission to inspire others to ride bicycles as a primary form of transportation by biking from California to Boston. But a t-shirt or donate some money to support the cause HERE

Brooklyn Rocks ~ Crash Mansion review

eula: Photos from Show @ Crash Mansion, NYC 4-29-09
DOWNLOAD: eula - "Housewolf" (MP3)DOWNLOAD: eula - "Fight Riff" (MP3)The more that I work in and around the music industry, the less I understand the logic behind what draws a crowd. Last week, eula played a great set of original music to a decent-sized crowd at Crash Mansion. Also last week, Foreigner (featuring one original member) played to a sold out crowd of 1,300 in Philadelphia. Somewhere there must be some logic here...Getting serious for a moment, eula plays art-punk in the style of Pylon and Gang of 4. Lead singer Alyse Lamb has a distinctively raw and quavery voice that sits well on top of the band's angular guitar riffs and loping bass lines.eula released a new EP, Language of Threat, back in March that is available through IndepenDisc, Amazon and iTunes.

Crash Mansion / Public Assembly
So we had our first show at Crash Mansion last night... very fun. The place reminds me of a sexy basement with very expensive drinks. We had a great time though... Tell Tale opened up (very good check them out) and Pow Wow! (very good check them out) closed out the evening. There was this dude there that came ALL the way from Watertown, CT to come see us - and believe me, that's never happened so our evening was a raving success!
I wanted to post our flyer for our next NY show - June 4th at Public Assembly. I don't know what to expect since we're going on at 1am... I know ny is the city that never sleeps, but what about brooklyn?? :) Looking forward to it tho.
